Cool - going to me seeing them outside tomorrow at Fernwood. Have yet to hear anything by them. A bunch of people from the Henry Miller Library play in one of the opening bands and I have friends in the first band. Not going to be a very big surprise if Mumford and Sons show up for the finale after their set at Bridge School. Big Sur - center of the musical universe these days? If not, one hell of a vortex...

They were good, but I was beat and left toward the end of their set and missed the last set collaboration (after receiving word that mumford and sons would NOT be showing up after the bridge benefit)as it was getting very foggy and it's not the easiest little route up 1 back to the peninsula. That said, the David Mayfield Parade absolutely slayed. They are a very compelling live act. Good times with good people in Big Sur. Looking forward to many interesting collaborations b/w folkYEAH! and Communion UK.

No clips up yet but this gives you a taste - the opening tune. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNXFj0UcJLs

cool, sounds like a good time. thank you for sharing. that's too bad about mumford. they really know how to move an audience.

not trying to stir anything up, but does anyone else think santana's face resembles gaddafi in many ways?

even his wardrobe a lot of the time is pretty close to that of gaddafi!

Don't know, but I thought it was pretty ballsy for Beck to play a Neil tune - and then have Neil walk out to join in to the great surprise of Beck ... and they did a damn nice version of Marlon Brando, Pocahontas and Me. Also love, hate or indifferent to Norah Jones, she is a lovely gal.

Every year, there is always some type of cool surprise. Who saw this coming?

This is very cool (the broadcast), thanks for the heads up. I was unfamiliar with Beck before this, and also Mumford & sons, so looking forward to this coming up...

I have to seek out some of those past performances, esp. Buffalo Springfield.
